Traveling is a perfect opportunity to separate yourself from work and the day-to-day. Leaving all those emails and paperwork behind to see the world is an experience like no other.

As ironic as it seems, traveling with your smartphone is a wise choice. Thousands of traveling apps not only allows you to share photos and videos but more importantly helps make your travels less stressful.

These travel apps take stress off your plate by:

  • looking for restaurants and spots to visit

  • and so much more!

Great app for figuring out an affordable time of year to visit a particular country. The app monitors prices for you then tells you when to book and when to wait for both flights and hotels.



An online marketplace and hospitality service that charges less than hotels by offering far cheaper prices and a genuine experience by staying in local homes.  Members can use the app to arrange lodging or tourism experiences.

Skyscanner is a fun way to look for trips. In fact, Skyscanner is the only app which allows you to select ‘anywhere’ as an international destination. It’s available in 30 languages and has a news section that includes news from travel and flight industries and gives travel tips for users.

An offline map of the whole world which works even if you don’t have a SIM card. This is a perfect navigation app for your travels anywhere around the world.




An app that makes a checklist of everything you need in anything you do. It provides a forecast about the weather for your trips and gives you choices of activities to do during your trip. It offers items that are needed to be packed based on what activity you’ll do.


XE Currency

An app designed to convert one currency into another to check corresponding value. It aims to maintain real-time information on the current market or bank exchange rates so that the calculated result changes whenever the value of either of the component currencies does.

A machine translation app developed by Google that is multilingual. Basically, it provides translations among 100 different languages allowing people to communicate in a language understandable to both you and the person you’re talking with.



A time zone tracker that helps you keep track of the time in places you are in or where you are headed to. This app shows times that overlap when both parties should be awake.

A mobile app that permits people who travel going in the United States to submit passport information and customs declaration form to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It also enables the inspection process using an expedited lane.


Global Entry

Global Entry is a program by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection service that permits pre-approved, low-risk travelers to receive expedited clearance upon arrival into the United States.


A personal virtual private network service provider based in Panama. This has a desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux, mobile applications for both Android and iOS. Enjoy global connectivity along with high-performance speed and secure access to streaming websites, censored content and social networks with the use of this app.



Widely used airport app with tips and information on over 3000 airports. It covers all important air passenger needs including arrival and departure times, how to best get to/from the airport to numerous tips on pre and post-security restaurants, shopping opportunities, lounges, or power outlets.
